Kota Kinabalu: Penampang Lions Club members have been reminded to continue serving with passion and purpose, guided by the Club’s core values of kindness, integrity, and service.

During the recent 40th installation ceremony of the Penampang Lions Club, in Wisma Kinsabina, Penampang, newly-installed President Audrey Disimond echoed Lions International President Fabricio Oliveira’s theme, “Changing the world with kindness.”

“It calls us to embrace kindness in every aspect of our lives, guiding our decisions and interactions, and spreading warmth throughout the community.”

She emphasised the importance of kindness as a guiding principle, urging members to ensure that their Club remains a source of compassion, empathy, and positive change.

“I will strive to honour the legacy of those who came before me and to inspire those who will follow.

“Together, we will continue to be a beacon and a force for good in our community,” she said.

She highlighted that every act of kindness, no matter how small, can make a profound difference.  She encouraged members to support each other, assist those in need, and champion the most important causes.

“In doing so, we will strengthen our club and build a more compassionate and inclusive world.

“Together, we are stronger. Together, we are unstoppable, and we will continue to make a difference, one act of kindness at a time.”

The installation ceremony was attended by 80 people from Lions and Leo Clubs in Regions 6 and 7, and the installing officer was Immediate Past District Governor Kapitan Ronny Hiew.
