Kota Kinabalu: Reigning Miss World 2024 Krystyna Pyszková marked her last day in Sabah by planting a tree at the City Hall headquarters compound, Thursday, symbolising a seed of hope and commitment to the environment.
“This moment is a little bittersweet because this is our last day here.

Krystyna has been in Sabah since July 21, together with Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Miss World Organisation, Julia Morley, PBM National Director of Miss World Malaysia, Dr Sean Wong, and Miss World Malaysia 2023 and psychologist, Saroop Roshi.
The group has actively participated in environmental programmes such as the Sail Malaysia Tuaran Beach Cleaning event.
Additionally, they also visited the Sabah Autism Society, the Palliative Care Association of Kota Kinabalu, Likas Women and Children’s Hospital, Yayasan Nur Jauhar and flood-affected homes in Kg Pogunon, Penampang, to assist in cleaning and donating disaster relief aid.

“Whether visiting the Palliative Care Association, the Autism Centre, or meeting activists who help flood victims, we found a purpose in every interaction,” she said.

The tree-planting activities promote environmental sustainability and highlight the importance of loving nature.
Krystyna expressed hope that the trees they planted would symbolise all the environmental efforts and initiatives undertaken in Sabah.
“We may not be able to help everyone, but everyone can help someone. Remember this whenever you see the tree and you can make a difference.
“I will miss Sabah so much,” Krystyna said. “We will definitely be back because I want to see this little tree grow,” she said.
Also present were DBKK Director General Sr Lifred Wong.
