Man found dead near Sandakan plantation

SANDAKAN: A body was found in a bush near a plantation in Kampung Sungai Memanjang, here, around 11am on Thursday.
Acting Sandakan District Police Chief, Supt Ramasamy Kuppan said that earlier, they had received an initial report regarding the discovery of a burned four-wheel drive vehicle in the area.

A team of police officers then went to the location where, upon inspection, the vehicle was found burned with no one inside.
A search was then conducted around the area, leading to the discovery of the body.
The body was then sent for post-mortem.
He said the case is being probed under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
