Power to make decisions for Sabah-MM2H lauded

Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah-MM2H Representatives Association welcomes the recent developments granting Sabah the authority to make decisions for the Sabah Malaysia My Second Home (Sabah-MM2H) programme.
Its pro-tem president, Jenny Ngu, said the move is a significant step towards enhancing the State’s autonomy and improving the effectiveness of the Sabah-MM2H programme specifically tailored for Sabah.

“The power to make decisions for the Sabah-MM2H programme now resides with the Tourism, Culture, and Environment Ministry (Kepkas),” she said in a statement Thursday.
“The shift in authority is confirmed by recent directives and official statements from Kepkas, highlighting their commitment to tailoring the programme to meet Sabah’s unique needs.
“Kepkas is actively working on streamlining the application process and ensuring that the programme aligns with Sabah’s strategic goals for economic and social development.”
She said many applicants from different countries eagerly await the opportunity to apply, which will boost the local economy and bring numerous benefits to the State.

“The influx of foreign residents will enhance cultural diversity, promote tourism, and stimulate local businesses, contributing to economic growth.
“We strongly encourage all appointed authorized representatives to join our association.
