Kota Kinabalu: Sabah is poor because of decades of rule by peninsula-based parties, said Parti Solidariti Tanahairku (Sabah Star) Deputy President Datuk Kenny Chua.
“The GRS State Government and the people of Sabah inherited this sad legacy. All Sabahans have realised this now and that’s the number one reason we want to be governed by local parties.
“Sabahans want to be like our Borneo neighbours, Sarawak, that is so economically strong and politically stable because it is governed by Sarawak parties,” he said in a statement.
Chua was responding to Sabah BN Chairman Datuk Bung Moktar Radin who claimed Sabah is poor because it is governed by local parties.
