Kota Kinabalu: A Kadazandusun Cultural Association (KDCA) Central Committee member expressed confusion over the Momogun National Congress’ (MNC) recent proposal to replace the term “Lain Lain” (Others) with “Momogun” in official government forms.
Datuk John Ambrose questioned the rationale behind MNC’s decision to not consult the association before making the public announcement.

“I am puzzled why MNC did not refer the issue to KDCA... even before the British time, KDCA has been respected as the body representing all the local communities in Sabah,” the former Senator said.
He added that it is only proper and respectful for MNC to refer/consult the issue with Huguan Siou Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan to avoid any unnecessary confusion or misunderstanding.
