A STUDENT who took his mother along to receive his STPM certificate on stage charms netizens. 

A TikTok video recently shared by user @1mr4n_1504 shows the student making his way towards the stage with pride but stopping halfway beside the audience seats to bring along his mother.

“Even though [the result] was not a four-flat [CGPA], I am grateful to have fulfilled my mother’s wish,” he captioned the short video.

School staff on the stage clapped their hands at the young man and his mother as he bent to greet them.

Netizens adore the young man’s efforts to make his mother proud and wish him luck in his future endeavours.

“Congratulations on bringing your parents to the stage. That was my dream at school,” commented TikTok user ACE.

“Not every son does this, holding his mother’s hand. I am so proud of you and wish you continued success,” said another netizen, Hidayahtul93.

The TikTok video has gained 1.6 million plays and over 180,000 reactions at press time.
