Kota Kinabalu: Malaysian students in Lille, France went to support the national badminton squad during their training in the nearby Aire-sur-la-Lys for the Olympic Games recently.
The six university students were interviewed by the regional newspaper La Voix du Nord.

Among them, Danish told the paper that it was thanks to a friend who works at the embassy that they got the place to watch the training.
“Badminton players are like stars in Malaysia because it is a very popular sport. We have been introduced to and play badminton since a young age at school,” he said.
