Kota Kinabalu: The Momogun National Congress (MNC) regrets the lukewarm response by the Kadazan Dusun Cultural Association (KDCA) to its proposal to replace the term “Lain Lain” (Others) with “Momogun” in official government forms.
MNC President Tan Sri Wences Angang said despite KDCA’s initial support expressed by paramount leader (Huguan Siou) Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan, it has since shifted its stance and has consistently declined invitations to engage on the matter.

“After that initial meeting in 2015, whenever we had any conventions or meetings, we never left out KDCA and sent them invitations, but they always turned us down,” Wences said.
“Even for our pre-convention in June we invited them, but they declined. I spoke to Huguan Siou about our convention on Aug. 1, but did not get a favourable response.
