KUNAK: Road maintenance concession companies are urged to take immediate action to repair the damaged road on Jalan Getah-Panggi, here.

It is understood that the damaged stretch has not been maintained for a long time. The road divider paint on its surface is also no longer visible.

Residents are calling for the relevant authorities to go to the field to monitor the condition of the road surface that has long been neglected without repair and maintenance.

“The damaged road area has not been repaired for quite some time,” a complainant told Daily Express.

The road is the main route for residents of Kg Getah Hujung, Kg Getah Tengah and surrounding areas who use this route daily.

Nearby residents also use this route to go to SMK Kunak and SJKC Pai Sheng schools and Kunak town.

The situation is more dangerous for road users, especially during rain and at night because the road surface area is flooded with water, making it difficult for users to see and avoid potholes there.
