Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah Education Technology (Set) 1.0, scheduled to take place from Aug 2 to 4, is targeting 15,000 visitors.

This event coincides with its proposed listing on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad ("Bursa Securities"), scheduled for 30 April 2025.
“It will feature more than 100 exhibitors who will provide content throughout the duration,” she added.

Munirah said the closing ceremony would be officiated by State Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Datuk Dr Mohd Arifin Mohd Arif.

“Our focus is on giving exposure to our target visitors - youth, graduates and school students - about aspects of education, careers and choices.

“We also open opportunities for visitors to broaden their knowledge about educational institutions that can be explored, as well as providing motivation and encouragement to students who wish to further their studies,” she said.

She said Set would also serve as a pathway or facilitator for less privileged students to learn and obtain more information about skill-based education.

“It can also provide physical and mental encouragement to school students and youths as our content includes technical and vocational education and training (TVET) specifically focusing on human capital development and helping youths and graduates to increase their marketability according to industry needs,” she said.

Additionally, Munirah said they will launch the Sabah 2024 Digital Me Exploration Programme (JSD) by Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) Sdn Bhd.

Also present was Persatuan Wanita Sabah Chairperson Anne Sidik and Set 1.0 Advisor Datuk Surinam Sadikun.
