Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Wildlife Department Director Augustine Tuuga said they have not detected any crocodile in the water of Teluk Likas, following a viral video shared on Facebook at 12.25pm, Wednesday.

He said they have sent a drone to investigate the matter.

“We went to check yesterday afternoon. This morning, we flew a drone as well but did not find anything,” he said to Daily Express.

“We cannot confirm anything until we have more concrete evidence.

“We are trying to get additional assistance from the Civil Defence Force (APM) to patrol the area,” he said.

In the video, five-to-six dark-coloured, long-shaped objects are seen floating in the water.

The location is evidenced by the visible Menara Kinabalu and Menara Tun Mustapha along the coastline captured in the video.
