Kuala Lumpur: Sabah offers abundant opportunities available for Chinese investors, particularly in the green industry, food industry, oil palm industry and construction.
State Industrial Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Datuk Phoong Jin Zhe emphasised Sabah’s readiness to foster stronger bilateral relationships with China, building upon the foundation of mutual benefit and cooperation.

“Sabah is ready to continue fostering stronger bilateral relationships with China. The State offers ample opportunities for investors, especially in key sectors such as construction, the food industry, and the oil palm industry,” he said when calling the China Ambassador to Malaysia, Ouyang Yujing here to brief him on the Sabah-China Business Summit.
The summit is scheduled at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) here from Nov 22 to 24.
This year’s summit coincides with the significant milestone of the 50th anniversary of Malaysia-China diplomatic relations.
Phoong said China is Sabah’s largest trading partner, with bilateral trade reaching a value of RM10.7 billion last year.
