Driver killed in early morning crash in Sandakan

SANDAKAN: A man was killed when the Isuzu D-Max he was driving skidded and crashed into a tree at Batu 3 here early Sunday morning.

A team of Fire and Rescue Department personnel rushed to the scene after receiving an emergency call at 3.30am.

Upon arrival, the rescue team extricated the victim, who was trapped in his seat.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by medical officers, and the body was handed over to the police for further action.
