PKR draws up seven-point Kinabalu Declaration
“Glocal means we are going to fight for Sabah’s autonomy, sovereignty and its native rights,” he said thanking Anwar for continued efforts to implement MA63.
Kota Kinabalu: Sabah PKR Chief Mustapha Sakmud announced the Kinabalu Declaration, a seven point manifesto during the party’s grand assembly at SICC on Sunday.

It was launched by PKR President and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

An acronym of the word Sinergi (Synergy), Mustapha said it was hatched after a leadership retreat in Kundasang last month.

“At Federal we have Malaysia Madani and in Sabah we have Synergy,” he said.

This event coincides with its proposed listing on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad ("Bursa Securities"), scheduled for 30 April 2025.
The letters stand for for Onenes(s), Integrity and Innovation, Nurturing Values, Economy, Reform, Glocal and Unity in Diversity.

When he got to emphasizing the focus of E for Economy, he lauded Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor for generating RM8 billion in revenue saying it is a very good step-up.

“Reformation. Education is key for the State. If our youth do not get the best then their futures will be bleak.

“Glocal means we are going to fight for Sabah’s autonomy, sovereignty and its native rights,” he said thanking Anwar for continued efforts to implement MA63.

“And Unity, we want Sabah to be the idea of life in a multiracial community. Through the Ministry of Higher Education, we can turn Sabah as the Harmony Ambassadors of the country.

“But these are all the contributions from Sabahans themselves because we understand diversity so we can teach other states the policies of harmony and unity.

“This is all in the fight for our rights and shared responsibility to ensure Malaysia is continues to be honoured,” he said.
