Kota Kinabalu: Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) is a true reflection of unity and loyalty in the country and to the Agong, said Pakatan Harapan (PH) Sabah Chairperson Datuk Christina Liew.
For the past 25 years, she said PKR continued to fight for the people’s agenda and highlighted the voice of the people regardless of race and religious beliefs.

“From the beginning, I chose to be with PKR when I joined the party in 1991 because I was confident in the party struggle. Until myself was the first Sabah PKR candidate in 2001.
“Likewise we in PKR are loyal to our Party and President even though we have to wait 20 years to win and 23 years to see Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim appointed as the Prime Minister of Malaysia.
“This party is trusted by Malaysians and the proof is that PKR has divisions in all 222 parliamentary constituencies throughout Malaysia,” said Christina, also Sabah PKR Political Bureau Chairperson.
She said strengthening a nation-building Malaysia, which also reflects unity, is essential because it can bring all together so that there is no conflict that only harms the country.

She is confident that Malaysians can unite and will defend the country’s sovereignty irrespective of political affiliations and ideologies.
“What attracts me is that PKR itself has various races such as Malays, Chinese, Indians, Bajau, Kadazan, Dusun, Murut, Rungus, Iban and Bidayuh, among others.

“The same goes for religious beliefs such as Islam, Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism and others. This diversity is not only at the grassroots but also at the highest level of the party’s leadership,” Christina said.
Christina who is also PKR Sabah Political Bureau Chairperson, said this in her speech at a first-time ‘Himpunan Perdana Rakyat PKR’ held at Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) here on Sunday.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim who is also PKR President officiated the large-scale gathering of PKR Sabah leaders and members here. Some 14,000 people attended the event.
Also present were Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Haji Noor who is also Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) Chairman, and top leaders from Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (Gagasan Rakyat), Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), Parti Cinta Sabah (PCS), Amanah, Upko, Sabah Umno, DAP Sabah and Parti Bersatu Rakyat Sabah (PBRS).
