Kota Kinabalu: A long-serving Justice of the Peace (JP) is seeking an explanation from the Immigration Department and National Registration Department, two Federal agencies in the mini Putrajaya complex here.
Datuk David Chong is dumbfounded that his JP stamp was rejected by the two departments when he attested some documents.
“I’ve been using the JP stamp for about 20 years, but this is the first time I have faced this problem, which started earlier this year.
“The JP stamp was used to help people certify their documents as true copies,” said Chong, adding that his JP title was conferred by the Sabah Government.
