Paitan is finally made full district

PAITAN: Minister of Community Development and People’s Well-being (KPMKR) and Sugut Assemblyman, Datuk James Ratib is happy that Paitan is now officially a full district.
“I am very grateful our ambition to see Paitan upgraded to a full district was finally achieved,” he said on Saturday.

“We have a development plan for Paitan.
“This is the time for Paitan to get out of the poor or extreme poor status. I also expect cooperation from the people and leaders so that they can both upgrade and develop this district faster,” he said.
Among other things contained in the Paitan Development Plan is the construction of government offices consisting of the Land and Survey Office, Sports Complex, Registration Department, MPOB, Federal Department Offices, including the construction of a Mini Hospital for the Paitan District Office in the future.
“We also plan to establish a new town in Paitan district by the private sector.

“The Development Plan will start next year and now we have called a consultant to make this development plan and we will raise it to the Director of Urban and Regional Planning so that this development plan can be endorsed so that its implementation can be accelerated,” he said.
According to him, with the development plan built by the private sector, this will speed up the planned development in Paitan.
