SANDAKAN: The efforts of the Eastern Sabah Security Command (Esscom) to help the community improve living standards and eradicate poverty through socio-economic programmes did not go unnoticed.
Deputy Chief Minister and Sabah Minister of Housing and Local Government, Datuk Seri Joachim Gunsalam, said although Esscom’s main duty is to protect coastal areas in the Eastern Sabah Security Zone (Esszone), it does not forget to reach out to the community including those living in the People’s Housing Programme (PPR).
