150 take part in Penampang programme

Volunteers at the Komuniti Hijau: Rakan Lestari programme.
PENAMPANG: Some 150 volunteers participated in the Komuniti Hijau: Rakan Lestari programme, organised by the Penampang District Council at Centenary Park.
This initiative, overseen by the Ministry of Local Government and Housing (KKTP), aimed to rejuvenate the 100-year-old park and clean the Donggongon area.
ADVERTISEMENT It was spearheaded by Rakan Lestari Chairman Richard Wong and officiated by Minister of Entrepreneur Development & Cooperatives, Datuk Ewon Benedict.
The volunteers included members from the Penampang City Council, Shareda, SIPMA, and KCCI.
“The ‘Program Rakan Lestari’ Gotong Royong not only transformed physical spaces but also strengthened the bonds within the Penampang community.
“It is a testament to our shared commitment to preserving and enhancing our environment,” he said.
