KUCHING: Sabah Action Body Advocating Rights’ (Sabar) Chairman Datuk Zainie Aucasa hopes supply of electricity to Sabah from Sarawak hydroelectricity source can be expedited.
“Sabah needs a stable supply of electricity for our industrialization,” he said, with reference to the agreement that was signed between Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd (SESB) and Syarikat Sesco Bhd, a subsidiary of Sarawak Energy.

Zainie revealed that he had served with Sesco in the past on a short assignment when he was with Sabah Electricity.
More stable power supply will directly increase domestic and foreign investments, apart from supporting the growth of the manufacturing and upstream sectors, as well as creating employment opportunities in the heavy and light industrial sectors.
