“This programme not only boosts national pride but also serves to unify Malaysians in their commitment to defend the country’s sovereignty,” he said after flagging off ceremony Sabah State-level Merdeka Jalur Gemilang Convoy in conjunction with the National Month and Sabah Day 2024 at the Penampang Municipal Council Wisma Compound.

KOTA KINABALU: Business owners, visionary entrepreneurs, and corporate leaders from across Malaysia are set to converge at one of Sabah’s most anticipated leadership events: CEO Masterclass (CEOM) 2025, happening on the 9th and 10th of July 2025 at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC). .
Ewon, who is also Penampang MP, said during Malaysia’s formation, some external parties opposed the decision and still pursued claims in foreign courts.

“This is why the current Malaysian Government has established a Special Task Force to counter external challenges.

“This demonstrates the Federal Government’s strong commitment to Sabah’s sovereignty, reflected in the dedication of the people of Sabah and government,” he said.

Ewon acknowledged that Malaysia’s challenges are not unique and are faced by all sovereign and independent nations.
