Tambunan accident: Man dies, three hurt

TAMBUNAN: A 66-year-old man died and three others injured when the Perodua Kancil they were travelling in skidded on the shoulder of the road at Kampung Pahu, here, Thursday evening.
The victim, confirmed dead by the Malaysian Ministry of Health, was handed over to the police for further action.
ADVERTISEMENT Meanwhile, the three injured passengers were taken to Tambunan hospital by ambulance to receive follow-up treatment.
Two victims were extricated by firemen and the rest by members of the public before the arrival of the rescue workers.
The District Fire and Rescue Station received a call at 6.43pm and a team of eight members led by Operation Commander, Selverinus Sixtus Geoffrey, rushed to the scene 35km from the station with machinery.
The operation ended at 8.05pm.
