SIPITANG: A Padang Berempah High School student died, another broke his right leg and the other uninjured when the EX5 motorcycle the trio were on crashed at Jalan Kampung Pantai Sipitang-Sindumin, Tuesday. 

District Police Chief DSP Mail Sandungi confirmed the 12.50pm incident and identified the deceased as Mohamad Amirul Afiq Abdul Khalid, 14.

“The pillion rider, Hazrul Adip Wilson, 17, suffered a broken leg and scratches on his face, while Mohammad Shahfiq Zakri, 15, escaped unscathed.

“Initial investigations revealed the rider and the two pillion riders were heading home in Sindumin from Sipitang.

The case is being investigated under Sec 41(1) of the Road Transport Act (APJ) 1987.
