Kota Kinabalu: Former Sabah United Chinese Chamber of Commerce (SUCCC) President Tan Sri Andrew Liew lauded Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor as an open-minded and people-oriented leader.
He said Hajiji always genuinely cares about the needs of the people and is dedicated to taking care of Sabahans’ welfare regardless of race or religion.
Liew, who is also a member of the Sabah Economic Advisory Council (SEAC), commended the State Government under the leadership of Hajiji for implementing the Hala Tuju Sabah Maju Jaya development plan, which aligns closely with the framework of the Malaysia Madani, to bring more prosperity and development to the State, and its ongoing effort to address the infrastructure and poverty challenges in the State for the benefit of the people of Sabah.
The Andamy Plantation Group Chairman expressed this during a courtesy visit to Hajiji on Monday.
Liew said the meeting provided an opportunity for both parties to discuss important issues related to the people of Sabah such as the development of the State’s economy, the oil palm industry and so on.
Liew also expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Hajiji for his unwavering support and trust during his seven-year tenure as President of SUCCC.
