Woman fined for harbouring illegal

The offence under Section 55E(1) of the Immigration Act 1959/63 which carries a jail term of up to a year, or a fine of between RM5,000 and RM30,000, or both, for each illegal immigrant involved.
Kota Kinabalu: A 27-year-old woman was fined RM5,000 or jailed 60 days for allowing a Filipina without any document to be in the premises under her control.
Diana Tsen Mei Fung pleaded guilty before Sessions Court Judge Noor Hafizah Mohd Salim, to the charge against her.
ADVERTISEMENT Tsen was found permitting the 50-year-old illegal Immigrant at 1.28pm on March 20 this year at the Redd Natural Health Therapy and Reflexology centre in Wisma Merdeka, here.
The charge stated that Tsen was as the person who controlled the premises.

Investigation revealed that Tsen had allowed the illegal to be in the said premises.
