Kota Kinabalu: Sabah FC are set to get a new import player to fill the striker role following the departure of Ramon Macahdo at the end of the month.
This was confirmed by Sabah Football Association president Datuk Shahelmey Yahya, Friday.

“The top management has approved the official request by Sabah FC in their efforts to strengthen the team including taking into account the suggestions from the supporters.
“There will be an addition of an import player to boost our attacks and we are currently in the process of reviewing several players.
“The identity of the player will be officially announced as soon as the selection process is completed and he will be registered during the transfer window which will open at the end of August,” he said.
He also denied that Indonesian import Saddil Ramdani will be leaving the team soon.
He said there is no club making any contact with Sabah FC regarding the matter to date.
He hopes the team will get back on track to improve their position in the league and called on the fans to continue their support to the team.
