Sabah still needs Indo workers, says Consul General

Kota Kinabalu: There is still a demand for Indonesian workers especially in plantation sector in Sabah, said Consul General of Indonesia Consulate in Kota Kinabalu, Rafail Walangitan here.

He said many companies had expressed their demand for the Indonesia workers when the Consulate official met them.

“We met with many companies and they informed that they still need Indonesian workers. So if there is demand, of course there is supply.

“As far as we are concerned, until now, we have registered about 130,000 workers except in Tawau, Kunak, Lahad Datu and Semporna that fall under the jurisdiction of the Indonesia Consulate in Tawau.
