In a statement released on DBKK’s Facebook page Tuesday, he said the addition of these compactor trucks would improve the garbage collection works and indirectly boost the morale of the DBKK’s cleaning teams.

“A total of 10 new compactor trucks were received today at a handover ceremony at the Solid Waste Management Department,” the statement wrote.

DBKK has pledged to ensure that waste collection services in the city are carried out smoothly and without disruption, despite the challenges posed by a limited number of functional garbage trucks.

The new compactor trucks will support DBKK’s existing logistics, covering operational areas from Zone 1 to Zone 8, including Kota Kinabalu, Kepayan, Likas-Damai, Kolombong-Bukit Padang, Inanam, Menggatal, Telipok-Sepanggar and the hilly regions.
