KUNAK: Assemblywoman Datuk Norazlinah Arif said unity is a vehicle to awaken the spirit of Lormalong’s love for the country.
She said with strong unity the community could express patriotic spirit through the national programmes.

She thanked the Sabah Information Department (JaPen) for bringing the Kembara Merdeka Jalur Gemilang Merdeka (KMJG) to the district.
The the people of Kunak especially in Kampung Lormalong were very enthusiastic and excited to welcome the convoy’ she said.

Norazlinah said the unity in Kg Lormalong gave birth to a lively atmosphere during the National Month.
“The atmosphere was very exciting, as I told you earlier, as many as 6,000 Jalur Gemilang and the Sabah flags were flown as a sign of love for the country in this village and Lormalong never failed to show their spirit of unity.
“The spirit of unity among them is also a proof of their great aspirations not only as villagers but as citizens of an independent country,” he said.
Also present were Sabah Information Director who is also KMJG Convoy Leader Jainisah Mohd Noor, Assistant Kunak District Officer (Development) Rubert Salimon and Assistant Kunak District Officer (Administration) Kenal Salim.
In LAHAD DATU, over 100 representatives from State and Federal agencies took part in an aerobic session with KMJG convoy members at Lahad Datu District office.
Meanwhile in SEMPORNA, District Officer Alexander Liew said the KMJG convoy which made its 33rr stop in the district was described as the best programme to raise the spirit of love for the country.
He flagged off the convoy led by JaPen Director Jainisah Mohd Noor, heading for Kunak.
