KUCHING: There are nine agencies looking into the welfare of Sarawak’s rural communities, especially from Lundu to Lawas and have been allocated RM1.5 million for the execution of various programmes, said Deputy Sarawak Premier Datuk Amar Doug;as Uggah Embas.
Following the pandemic in 2020, the Sarawak Government accelerated development through the “Strategi Pembangunan Pasca Covid-19” or PCDS2030.
Various initiatives were established, including the creation of a special Customs Council to protect customs and traditions of Orang Asal indigenous people.
Douglas also announced a donation of RM100,000 to the DNC (Dayak National Congress) to support their work in assisting indigenous people.
