Kota Kinabalu: A Facebook post about a young girl who saved diligently for an iPhone has earned the mother praises on her principles of parenting. 

The post amassed thousands of shares and likes.

Facebook user Liyana Chan shared her daughter Damia’s experience on saving money from her daily task of helping her to manage their durian stall. 

She wrote about the significance of teaching her daughter the realities of earning money, explaining that Damia had to work and save for the things she wanted, rather than expecting to receive them easily.
