PETALING JAYA: A 24-year-old man died after he was slashed by a group of masked men at Jasin Hospital in Melaka last night.
Jasin police chief Ahmad Jamil Radzi said the man was first attacked by a group of masked men armed with parangs in a barber shop at Taman Rim Baru, Sinar Harian reported.

The injured man called his brother to send him to Jasin Hospital, where he was dropped off at the emergency department.
The gang then attacked the man at the hospital, where he died at 10.15pm while seeking treatment.

The brother, whose car was damaged in the attack at the hospital, fled to the Jasin police headquarters to lodge a report.
Jamil said three suspects aged between 21 and 31 were arrested today, and police are searching for two more suspects.
He said the motive for the attack is being investigated.
