SANDAKAN: The body of a 46-year-old local was found at the pedestrian area outside Harbour Mall, here, early Tuesday.

Sandakan District Police Chief ACP Abdul Fuad Abd Malek said preliminary investigations revealed the man entered the parking lots of the shopping centre around.

He said a witness who parked his vehicle outside the building heard a loud “thump” beside his car at 3.40am, and saw the victim lying next to his car when he went out to check.

The witness alerted the police, said Fuad, adding police found no signs of foul play.
