Run up to National Day / Sabah day celebration: Fill independence with proud achievements, civil servants told

According to Makhzan, in the context of independence, civil servants need to have integrity and professionalism to ensure that the rights and welfare of the community will be preserved.
Kota Kinabalu: All civil servants are the backbone of the national or state administration, said Sabah Federal Secretary Datuk Makhzan Mahyuddin.
Therefore, he said, civil servants need to provide services with full dedication and commitment so that all government affairs run smoothly.
ADVERTISEMENT “All layers of civil servants have their respective roles which are very important in ensuring that the goals and implementation of the planned policies will reach the community.
“As a link between the Government and the community, the role of civil servants cannot be taken for granted because every action taken will affect the lives of the community,” he added.
According to him, in the context of independence, civil servants need to have integrity and professionalism to ensure that the rights and welfare of the community will be preserved.
“The seriousness and wisdom of civil servants in managing the issues of poverty, education and health are greatly appreciated and are expected to drive positive transformation for the country.

“The positive, sincere and proactive attitude of civil servants can encourage the people to play a role in the development of the country,” he said when opening the 2024 Sabah Day and National Month celebrations at the Sabah Federal Government Administration Complex Auditorium (KPKPS).
He also called on civil servants to reflect on the sacrifices of previous generations by filling the independence with proud achievements.

“Continue to work with passion and excellence, because every civil servant’s effort is a contribution to the country.
“Remember that the job as a civil servant is part of the journey towards the progress and harmony of the country,” he added.
At the event, Makhzan also welcomed the arrival of the Jalur Gemilang Merdeka Adventure Convoy (KMJG) at the KPKPS grounds.
A total of 20 federal departments and agencies received the Jalur Gemilang and Sabah State Flag at the ceremony.
As a symbol of the convoy’s stopover destination, he signed the travel record book of the Jalur Gemilang Merdeka Campaign (KMJG) and then flagged off the convoy.
