TAWAU: Police have arrested a suspect in connection with the murder of a man in Kampung Ranggu Cina, Mile 8, Jalan Apas, here.
Tawau District Police Chief ACP Jasmin Hussin said the 31-year-old suspect, a farm worker in the same village, was arrested around noon Monday, less than 24 hours after the incident on Sunday.

Jasmin said acting on the information, a team from the Criminal Investigation Division and Sri Indah Police Station were sent to the scene.
“They managed to apprehend the suspect and find the machete believed used in the crime.
“Preliminary investigations showed the motive behind the incident is a misunderstanding between the victim and the suspect’s family. Both of them know each other,” he said.
