LABUAN: The Labuan Chinese Chamber of Commerce lauded the decision to make it mandatory for airlines to fully refund passengers of flights delayed for five hours or more.
Describing it as right and fair, its Chairman Datuk Wong Kii Yii said the move reflected Transport Minister Anthony Loke’s concern for the wellbeing of such passengers who may be on holiday with family members.
Wong, however, said the requirement, which took effect on Sept 2, should be strengthened with a refund deadline.
“The refund process should be easy without multiple forms to fill, considering that all sorts of people use airline services,” he said.
