Authorities chasing girl beggar suspected to be illegal immigrant in LD go viral (VIDEO)

Kota Kinabalu: A TikTok video showing Malaysian authorities in Lahad Datu chasing down a young girl suspected to be an illegal immigrant begging at a traffic light junction has gone viral. 

The video by JR7, which has garnered over 12,700 likes, 263 comments and 432 shares, depicts a dramatic scene.

In the video recorded from inside a vehicle, the girl is seen being pursued by several officers as she tries to evade capture. 

The location is indicated as Lahad Datu and the video is accompanied by a caption that can be roughly translated into "we in Lahad Datu would be free if there were no more beggars".
