SANDAKAN: The close cooperation between the state governments of Sabah and Sarawak is bearing fruit, and the relationship between the two states in Borneo must continue to ensure faster development, said Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (Gagasan Rakyat) Karamunting Chief Datuk George Hiew.

He called on members under the umbrella of Gabungan Rakyat Karamunting (GRS) in Karamunting to remain united and avoid internal divisions and political friction which would only lead to instability in the area and Sabah as a whole.

“Sabah is developing rapidly and is on a better track than before, where the state often fell into political conflicts.

“People are tired of the struggle for political power. They just want to live in peace with political stability,” said George in his speech at the 2024 Karamunting Gagasan Rakyat Annual General Meeting on Sunday.
