Kota Kinabalu: The 32nd Borneo Safari International Challenge is scheduled on October 27 until November 3 with the flag off set to take place in front of the Sabah Tourism Board office in Gaya Street.
Sabah Four Wheel Drive Association (SFWDA) president Faez Nordin said some 500 vehicles with 2,000 participants and competitors from Malaysia, Hong Kong, Russia, USA, Philippines, United Kingdom, Brunei, Thailand, Japan, Indonesia, Korea, Vietnam, Australia and India will drive through the dense jungles of the Ranau and Telupid districts on long abandoned logging trails over eight days.

Over the years, it has become an iconic event that draws offroad enthusiasts from locally and across the globe, challenging both man and machine against the rugged and untamed landscapes of Borneo,” he said.
He also announced the association’s partnership with UMW Grantt International Sdn Bhd as its platinum sponsor and official lubricant for the eighth consecutive year.
“This partnership is a natural fit for an event of this magnitude, as both the Borneo Safari and UMW share a commitment to excellence, durability, and pushing boundaries”, said Faez, who is also the event director.
The Letter of Agreement (LoA) signing ceremony between the SFWDA represented by Faez Nordin and Anas Nasrin Mohd Osman, the director of manufacturing and engineering division representing UMW Grantt International Sdn Bhd took place in Selangor on Monday.
