LAHAD DATU: The Fire and Rescue Department rescued a 14-year-old girl who attempted to jump from the first floor of a building in town on Tuesday night.
Lahad Datu Fire and Rescue Station Chief Sumsoa Rashid said his department received a distress call on the incident at 8.11pm.
He said seven Fire and Rescue personnel rushed to the scene in a fire tender and an EMRS vehicle.
“Upon arrival, the team saw a girl standing on the edge of the first floor building.
“The team managed to rescue the girl who was later handed over to the police for further action,” he said, adding the operation ended at 8.51pm.
