Kota Kinabalu: Parti Solidariti Tanahairku (Sabah Star) said PAS should know its chances if it contest in the Sabah elections.
Its Deputy President Datuk Kenny Chua believes the Islamic party is merely trying to gather reactions to make some informed political decisions.
“I believe PAS knows it all too well about its chances in Sabah. So, it’s not something that we should be taking too seriously about.
“Our government’s focus is on the development of the State and wellbeing of the people,” he said in a statement.
PAS President Datuk Abdul Hadi Awang had said the Malaya-based party wanted to win in Sabah to “liberate the country.”
“As far as Sabah is concerned, the liberation that we desire is to be free from poverty, unfairness and all forms of political extremism.
“The GRS government is fighting against all these to give a better future for Sabahans,” he said, adding that PAS should reserve their ammunition for their political wars in Malaya.
“Our Chief Minister has said that Sabah is our home, so we, Sabahans, must take care of it.” said Chua.
