Kota Kinabalu: The Semporna Bajau Bumiputera Association (Perbubas) wants the State Education Department to consider the tradition of appointing a Semporna local as the next District Education Officer.
Its Chairman Mansor Santiri said this after receiving at least five complaints following Kota Belud’s Rozita Anjuh recent appointment.

“This is the first time someone from outside Semporna has been appointed for the job since it was last held by the British before formation of Malaysia.
“She is qualified but there are so many with equal standing from Semporna who have applied and were interviewed for the position.
