Kota Kinabalu: A Kuala Lumpur food court's frustration over its customer parking spaces "stolen" by residents from a nearby apartment complex has drawn online attention.
The issue was highlighted on X by user @AzrulIzzaham in a post that garnered 234,000 views, over 1,200 reposts and 1,800 likes.
ADVERTISEMENT The post features a video of the crowded parking area and photos of notes stuck by the food court on the unscrupulously parked cars.
One of the notes reads: “Don’t ‘steal’ our customers’ parking”.
“Parking is full, no customers… you are the reason,” another note reads.
One X user @NikShariff92 said it was difficult to find parking spaces in the area and suggested a paid overnight parking solution to ease the situation.

“The issue stems from the nearby apartment complex, where a large number of residents live but with very limited parking availability. [As a result] the parking spaces in front of the building are constantly occupied,” another netizen said.
This incident sparked a broader conversation about the need for better parking management in busy urban areas.
