Ranau District Criminal Investigation Division the champions

Some of the intense action during the 2024 KPD Cup volleyball tournament.
RANAU: PDRM Ranau held the 2024 KPD Cup Closed Volleyball Tournament which was participated by as many as 12 groups consisting of departments in IPD Ranau.
The men’s category was won by a team from Ranau’s District Criminal Investigation Division (BSJD) with a joint BSJND/BPJKKD Ranau team in second place while a Ranau Police Station team took third spot.

The women’s category was won by the PERKEP B team followed by the WPC team and the PERKEP A team in second and third spots respectively.
The tournament was held from August 30-31, and involved all senior officers, members, public staff and members of the Ranau IPD PERKEP.
The opening ceremony was completed by the Ranau District Police Chief DSP Mursalin Mahmud.
Participants were divided into three groups, namely Group A (Logistics Division, Kundasang Police Station, Ranau Police Station, and BIPS and BSJKD Management), Group B (BJSJD, BSPTD and Special Branch, KDNKA, BSJND and BPJKKD), and Women’s Category (PERKEP A, PERKEP B, SPACSU, and WPC).

A sports tournament like this is seen as one of the methods that can foster sportsmanship and strengthen the bonds of friendship among the personnel of IPD Ranau.
The presentation of prizes to the winning teams is expected to be held at the National Sports Day at the IPD level later.
