KOTA BELUD: A pre-school child had to endure pain for almost two hours when his right leg got stuck in a toilet bowl at a Kemas Child Care Centre (Tabika) in Kampung Menungu, here, Friday.
In the 10.40am incident, the six-year-old who was reported to have suffered minor injuries was rescued by firefighters.

Kota Belud Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) Chief Muhammad Syazwan Latun said they received an emergency call regarding the incident at 10.44am.
He said eight personnel, including officers, rushed to the scene with one fire engine and one utility vehicle.

“On arrival, they saw a boy with his right leg stuck in a toilet bowl and removed the child’s leg using special equipment, which took almost two hours,” he said.
“The boy was then given initial treatment by the Malaysian Ministry of Health (KKM) before being taken to the Kota Belud Hospital in an ambulance for further examination and treatment.
“The operation ended at 12.53pm,” he added.
