VIRAL: Would-be burglar nabbed in Likas

Kota Kinabalu: An attempted break-in claimed to be in Kampung Likas, here, Wednesday, has gone viral on TikTok.
TikTok user @eliditiktok said their neighbours' effort prevented the robbery.
ADVERTISEMENT “We want to express our deepest gratitude to our neighbour for your bravery and quick actions in stopping the person who was threatening our family,” said the netizen.
The CCTV footage shows, at 8.21pm, a masked individual attempting to break into the residence.
The individual is seen trying to yank the door open with one hand, another hand holding some tools, possibly a crowbar.
He is also seen hitting the door with the tool eight times.

His attempts apaparently futile, the masked intruder is then seen surveying the house from the exterior, but before any further action can be taken, the neighbours bravely intervenes, restraining the man while others assist.
The video amassed 313,600 views with most commenters expressing concern on the safety of the area.

“Kampung Likas is really tough these days. Even Grab drivers are scared to enter,” said a TikTok user, @mrban.
