Kota Kinabalu: The Philippines has seen a surge in Malaysian tourists with 64,422 visiting the country from January to August this year.
This figure highlights the strong appeal of Philippine destinations to Malaysian travellers. The announcement was made at a joint event celebrating 67th Malaysia Day at the Makati Hotel, attended by dignitaries and officials from both countries.
The event, hosted by the Embassy of Malaysia in Manila, served as a platform to showcase the thriving relationship between the Philippines and Malaysia, particularly in the realm of tourism.
Present to welcome the visitors was Malaysian Ambassador Dato Abdul Malik Melvin Castelino.
