LABUAN: Labuan Women’s Affairs Association Chief Fauziah Datuk Din said the authorities should find a solution to ridiculous return airfares offered by Malaysian Airlines from here and other East Malaysian towns to Kuala Lumpur during prolonged holidays such as the one effective Sept 14 to 22.
“It’s apparent that the airlines were taking advantage of the increased demand for seats on such occasions,”added Fauziah.

She said that it was not the wish to see Malaysian Airlines being unprofitable, “any price hike should be reasonable and beyond the budget of the average traveller, exorbitant fares also undermine domestic tourism.”
Fauziah was referring to complaints of around RM2,500 for return trip from here to KL during the period.
