Kota Kinabalu: Former Borneo singles tennis champion Baharudin Ladoding proved that he is still a force to be reckoned with when he won the recently concluded MJTA Doubles open event organised by the Manoharan Junior Tennis Academy (MJTA).
Although already a veteran player (45 & above), Baharudin took part in the men’s open doubles event partnering Johanes Belili to victory. The duo defeated Mohamad Asyamie and Irwan 8-5 in an exciting final.

In the Under-18 doubles, the talented pair of Braylen Odell Johaness and Stevie Alfie Silvester edged out Jonathan Joshua Manoharan and Sharrvineswaran Uigneswaran by a very narrow score of 7-6 (7-5), 7-5 to emerge as the champions.
Meanwhile in the veterans category, Suhaili Aliuddin and Rahman partnered effectively to defeat Joseph Wong and Baharuddin Ladoding 8-5 in a tightly fought final.
During the previous weekend, in the Under-12 doubles final, the pair of Wafi Adhwa Baharuddin/Bradley Oscar Johanes had defeated Mohd Faziezan Azief Rohzan/Sandra Allysa Silvester 6-1, 6-2 to claim the champions’ trophy.
